TAX INFORMATION
Customers outside of the European Union will have the VAT charge removed.
For E.U. countries, the standard VAT rate from your country will be applied.
UK customers – When buying from the UK, our prices don’t include VAT (except if your total order is under 135 GBP, in which case the 20% VAT is charged automatically, and you won’t need to pay any additional tax when receiving your order), and our customers are expected to pay the VAT directly to HMRC or through DHL before receiving the goods. The VAT is calculated based on the invoice, which may include shipping costs.
This is the standard procedure after Brexit, which is beyond our control. If you bought the goods directly at one of our shops in Portugal, you would be charged 23% of VAT. Additionally to the VAT, customers with orders over 135 GBP will also be charged a fee of 11 GBP for customs handling (this amount may vary).
Since our goods are all made in Portugal, we are exempt from customs fees. When receiving the invoice from DHL, we recommend you double-check if there are any customs fees being charged and contact them in order to remove them.

US customers - Recent changes in U.S. policy have significantly altered the importing process for online purchases. As of August 29, 2025, the U.S. has eliminated the "$800 de minimis" rule for all countries. Previously, shipments valued at less than $800 could enter the U.S. duty- and tax-free with minimal customs paperwork. This is no longer the case. Now, all commercial shipments, regardless of value, are subject to tariffs, taxes, and customs clearance procedures. The United States and the European Union have an understanding that sets a 15% base tariff for most EU-origin goods, including those from Portugal, entering the U.S. In addition to the tariff, other fees, such as a Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF), may also apply. These changes can affect your total cost and the delivery process. You may be responsible for paying these duties and fees upon the package's arrival in the U.S. The new regulations and required customs paperwork for all shipments may cause delays in the importing process. Providing accurate contact information (phone number and email) is crucial to help the carrier if they have any questions.
RETURNING/EXCHANGING YOUR ORDER
During 14 days from the delivery of your package you may request to exchange or return your order. You must return the La Paz products to La Paz in perfect condition. The La Paz products should not have been worn, used, or washed. Returns will only be accepted if the products are returned with the original packaging fully intact and the original labels still attached to each product. Also, the original invoice that comes with the delivery needs to be enclosed together with the returned products. Returns/Exchanges should be sent to the following address:

COSTS FOR RETURN
La Paz is not responsible for shipping costs that may incur regarding the return of a product. Refunds for returned products will be made as soon as possible, 30 business days at the latest, after La Paz receives the returned products. The refund will be made to the credit/debit card you used for the order in question. Please note that additional duties, taxes or any additional charge that may incur will not be refunded by La Paz. The original shipping costs will also be refunded, granted that the return occurs in the 14 days after the delivery of the order.
COSTS FOR EXCHANGES
Once you have returned the items, La Paz will not make any additional charges for delivery in the case of an exchange. Please note that La Paz will not refund additional duties, taxes, or any additional charges that may incur.
